Basic Info BioWith a flair for the art and a wild imagination, Brigitte dreams of making it to Hollywood since she saw the movie Sleepy Hollow in 2001. She loves the vivid image Tim Burton expresses and admires his dark yet fantastic sense of creativity. This instant relationship began her undying love for the silver screen and she never ceased to enjoy it. Whether it be at home in the cold, damp basement in front of the TV, or out at the theaters with her friends, her experience watching movies has never once bored her (unless she was forced into something terribly eye-watering).
Brigitte spends her lonely weekends watching behind-the-scenes footage on youtube from her favorite films. She thrives to learn every bit of technique used by the best directors of her days, and loves to listen to actors’ comments and interviews on shows like Jimmy Kimmel and Ellen Degeneres, or even on special features from DVDs. Her favorite time of the year is Oscar night.
When she’s not dreaming about the movies, Brigitte is drawing, taking pictures, doodling, or struggling to pass math — her worse class. She loves to take care of the environement, promote peace, and hang out with her friends, who generally know her as a neo-hippie, or a tree hugger. She doesn’t mind. After all, she was born at the wrong place and wrong time. 40 years too early, to be precise.
Life in the real world is pretty complicated. Brigitte was born in Montreal, Quebec, moved for two years in the U.S, left after the release of Twister (we lived in a tornadoe-threatened area), came back to live in Laval, and then settled down in Ottawa, Ontario. However, since she studied at different programs, she’s behind a year and should have graduated a year ago. This makes her older than all her classmates, but since she’s a social butterfly, making friends wasn’t as hard as she thought it would be, and she absolutely loves them, even if it seems hard to believe sometimes.
These days. Brigitte is one year from graduating and simply cannot wait to leave the East and head to the West. But without a job and very little money in her bank account, will she ever make it to film school? Who knows…
